About NWACUHO
 

 

NWACUHO MEMBERSHIP

Membership in NWACUHO is available to either individuals who are associate members of ACUHO, to institutions of higher education which have housing officers involved in the coordination of administration, educational programming, food service and housing and maintenance operation for students and staff members on or off the college/university campus, and individuals in the region from non-member institutions who are affiliated with student housing and wish to actively participate in NWACUHO.

Membership shall be open to qualified institutions in the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, and the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta, Canada, and by special invitation of the Executive Committee to similarly qualified institutions in adjoining states and provinces.

 All staff and faculty from member institutions, and individuals from non-member regional institutions who purchase individual membership, who have involvement in their institution’s residence hall and family housing services and programs may participate in the activities of, benefit from the services of, and hold office within NWACUHO.

  • The Annual NWACUHO Regional Conference (members register at reduced rates)

  • Publication and mailing of the NWACUHO Regional Newsletter (Soundings) three times per year

  • Publication and mailing of the NWACUHO Regional Directory on an annual basis

  • On-line resource directory (professional colleague database)

  • On-line library (files, programs, training materials related to all aspects of housing)

  • Financial support for the Northwest Residence Life Leadership Conference (NWRLLC)

  • Financial support for the Northwest Training Institute (NWTI)

  • Financial scholarship support for attendees at the National Housing Training Institute (NHTI)

  • Financial support for the “Best of the Northwest” program presentation at the ACUHO-I conference

  • Financial support for the hosting the NWACUHO Regional Reception at ACUHO-I

  • Financial support for programs such as the “Mentor/Telemachus” matching program

  • Financial support for publications such as the “New Professionals Handbook”

  • Financial support for NWACUHO website hosting, maintenance and upgrades

  • Financial support for regional, state, and provincial day and drive-in workshops

  • Financial support for standing Committee Work (New Professionals, Diversity, Academic Relations, Cross-Border Work, Digital Web Strategies, Archives, Long-Range Financial Planning)

  • Financial award scholarships for “Outstanding New Professional(s)” and “Excellence in Service” recipients.
